Happy Easter

I'm finally getting around to posting pictures of our wonderful Easter fun. We spent that weekend up in Twin Falls with Bret's parents. We arrived Thursday night, on Friday we ran errands for a good portion of the day and that was enjoyable. That night we had seafood night (yummy) and relaxed. Saturday morning I sent Cole with Bret and Ray to take care of the horses. They returned with a very dirty boy that had had so much fun. We then dyed eggs (well Cole dye eggs and everything else in his path) but he had to much fun and was very serious about doing his job of dying eggs. In the afternoon we headed over to Grampi's and hid all the Easter eggs for Coulson so that his great grandparents could watch as well as grandparents and of course us. It didn't take Cole long to figure out what he was suppose to do and ran around the yard find all the eggs. When he was done he couldn't figure out why there were no more to find so Bret and Ray stole the eggs back from Cole and re hid them. Again, he had a total blast. Sunday we had our good friend "grandma" Barb over for Easter dinner and man was it a delicious dinner. We then packed up and headed home. It was an enjoyable trip and a fun Easter.

One "interesting" vacation

Bret and I decided at take a small break from the chaos of the world and spend some time with his family at their cabin. We headed up Thursday to Park City for the day and had so much fun! We ate at Whole Foods (I love that place), made a necklace at a local bead store called Beadniks, went to the World Market, and a couple other small stores. I love it up there! We also took Coulson to Petco to see the animals (or the lack there of). Afterward we headed up to the cabin and the next 4 days went something like this...

Thursday Night
arrive at the cabin
shovel snow
have dinner
Bret breaks toe
ice toe rest of night
put Cole to sleep
adults crash themselves

Friday
wake up to 9 new inches of snow
shovel walk way
dig out snowmobiles from under 1 1/2 feet snow
take snowmobiles out in blizzard to pack roads (cars couldn't drive on them without it)
defrost face and take care of frostbite on cheeks
shovel walkway from another several inches of snow
shovel walkway again after snow from roof falls off
put Cole down for nap - no success
go into Kamas for lunch and shopping break
play with Cole - make Bret ice toe again - relax and talk to mother in law
father in law and siblings arrive - get 3/4 tons truck stuck in snow
help push truck out
watch men snowblow the 4 feet of snow off of the deck
put Cole to bed
watch movie
crash

Saturday
wake up to Cole crying at 6am
Cole informs me he "throwed up"
clean up son
pull him in bed to watch movie
clean up son again
go up stairs to watch morning cartoons
find 6 more inches of new snow and still snowing
clean up son again
pack to go home
clean up son
depart for home
clean up son every 15 minutes on the hour drive home
everyone takes a nap when we arrive home
Cole finally keeps food and drink down
attempt to watch conference - no success
go to bed

Sunday
wake up and make breakfast
put Cole down for early nap
watch Conference
pack up to go to cabin for dinner(we really didn't get to see anyone)
arrive at cabin just in time to sit down for dinner
Cole throws up
clean up son
eat dinner
Cole seems fine so we go sledding and snowmobiling - have a total blast
8:00pm leave to drive home thankfully Cole slept the whole way
9:30ish arrive home and I go to bed with a migraine
11:15 wake up to the sound of Bret throwing up
11:45 Bret starts slurring his speech, can no longer move his fingers, hands and arms, and is complaining of a "pins and needles" feeling all over his body. Slurred speech gets worse. Seems in pain and is hyperventilating severely.
call 911 because Bret seems to be having a stroke (so scary)
paramedics arrive on scene - all 11 of them
they inform me that Bret has had a severe anxiety attack but after teaching me how to handle it they say he should be fine but to take him to the doctor in the morning
massage Bret's muscles out so that he can use them again
stay up till 2:30 am cleaning up after Bret every hour - poor guy
5 am calm Cole down when he is awakened by the sound of his dad - being sick again
deal with vomit all night long - ugh

Monday
Take Bret into the doctor as soon as possible because he still can't keep even water down
Doctor tells him that he has either food poisoning or stomach flu but is leaning towards food poisoning
explains that the anxiety attack was made worse by dehydration and that caused his muscles to seize
hook him up to IV for 2 hours to rehydrate him
run errands to restock everything that is needed for stomach flu - Cole drained everything previously - Bret is till at the Dr's getting fluids
bring him home and put him to bed - after drugging him with something that would make him sleep that the dr gave us
deal with a still sick Cole and his umm, large amounts of diarrhea
spend all day washing all clothing from both boys and the vacation so we have something to wear
Cole refuses to nap - again
deep clean and sanitize house so that I don't get sick- or any other poor soul that attempts to come to my house
put Cole to bed early
drug Bret and both of us go to sleep

It was quite the weekend but we did have some fun moments. Here are some pictures from the cabin...

Here are just a few pictures of my adorable son . He seems to get cuter and cuter everyday, and so does his personality. I love it!

Above and Beyond

Lately, over that past several months my amazing husband has gone above and beyond the call of husband and father. How is this possible? Let me tell you. He has been getting up earlier in the morning, straightening the kitchen, unloading the dishwasher, washing folding and putting away laundry, vacuuming the floor, washing dishes on a REGULAR basis, and helping to cook dinner. Let me tell you this has been such a BIG help because I have been pretty sick off and on lately with sinus infections, stomach flu, and a whole slew of things. So, (not that I needed to reward him) I bought him Guitar Hero for the Wii while it was on sale to say thank you. He has wanted it for a while and I just kept saying no (I know I'm an awful person) but after weeks of helping me I couldn't say no any longer so here are some pictures of our family having some fun...
